The wide price range reflects age, level of training, and individual breeder positioning. Scarlet Macaws are slightly less commonly available than Blue-and-Yellow Macaws in the UK, which can push prices slightly higher when demand outstrips supply.
The Scarlet Macaw is listed on CITES Appendix I, meaning a UK CITES import permit from APHA is required. This adds time and administration to the purchase process but is entirely manageable with our guidance.
